I saw a great deal for GlossyBox pop up on Facebook the other day, so I decided to finally give it a try and see if it was worth it. I was weighing up between GlossyBox andrchbox, but decided to try GlossyBox for now. Maybe I'll give Birchbox a try later to compare the two?

The deal was to get a 3 month subscription for just £25 (usual RRP £13.25 a month), so I thought 'why not'! If anyone's interested, the code I used was FUN25.

So without further ado, let's get into August's box!

I didn't realise until subscribing, but August 2021 actually marks GlossyBox's 10th birthday! The theme for this month's box is party essentials - everything you'd need for the perfect pamper before a night out.

Inside the box is a leaflet with all of the information about each product and top tips for application, which I thought was very useful if you've never used a certain product before.

The first product I spotted was the ANTI-DRAMA FACEMASK from FRANK BODY (RRP £4.95 for the 35ml deluxe mini, £15.95 for the 80ml full size). This facemark mixes charcoal and primrose oil to unclog pores, and chamomile, honey and lavender to help you unwind. Sounds perfect! It also states that it works wonders on blemishes and irritated skin, so I will definitely give this a try and see if it helps to clear up my hormonal spots!

Next is the PRO-COLLAGEN MARINE CREAM from ELEMIS (RRP £30 for the 15ml deluxe mini, £87 for the 50ml full size). Quite a pricey one! I've only ever tried Elemis in spas (as they seem to be the go-to products) so I'm excited to try this. It's 'for youthful skin that looks firmer and feels more radiant', which is definitely something I'm looking for as I approach my 30s (I mean, I still have a few years left, but still!)

Next is an OMBRE BLUSH in the shade HAZE by LOTTIE LONDON (RRP £5.95). Blush is the product that I always skip (usually because I embarrass myself daily so have a natural blush!) so I actually don't own many. The leaflet suggests to apply this with a loose brush rather than a brush with lots of bristles close together to give a softer, rosy glow.

The next product that caught my eye was this SO RICH BIRTHDAY CAKE CUTICLE OIL from NCLA (RRP £13.80). As you may be able to tell from the photos, my cuticles are definitely in need of some looking after, so I'm looking forward to seeing the results from this. Also, how cute are the little sparkly stars?!

Next is this beautiful CELEBRATION EYE PALETTE from STEVE LAURANT (RRP £23), which doesn't scream party to me, but definitely says Autumn! There are 9 beautiful shades which would look amazing blended together. I'm definitely an eyeshadow kinda girl, so I can't wait to try these!

The next product wasn't on the list in the leaflet, so I'm presuming they've just added it in as an extra? This is the RESCUE HEEL BALM from FLEXITOL, which will definitely come in handy as we get into the colder months!

And there we have it - my first GlossyBox unboxing! First impressions - from what I worked out, there is at least £77.70 worth of products here for just £13.25 a month (or £8.30 if you use the code I used!) so it's definitely worth it if you're a beauty lover who enjoys trying new products! I might write a follow up post after I've tried each product to give my reviews on everything and whether or not I think each product is worth the full price. If you use my referral link here, you'll actually get £5 off your first box/subscription!

Have you tried any beauty subscription boxes? If you have, which is your favourite product/box you've ever received? If not, which of these products would you love to try? So many questions!
